Emergency first aid at work (EFAW) is a 1-day training course that is designed to provide first aiders with the knowledge and skills they need to respond effectively to emergency situations in the workplace. The course contents are as follows: ✅ Adult resuscitation (CPR)* ✅ Burns and scalds ✅ Choking adult ✅ Communication and casualty care ✅ Defibrillator prompts and how to respond ✅ Defibrillator pad placement ✅ Minor and severe bleeding ✅ Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) ✅ Seizures ✅ Shock ✅ Unresponsive adult ✅ Poisoning
